SEND
At Woodston Primary School we believe all of our pupils can achieve great things when they are given opportunity, motivation and caring support.
On top of ‘Quality First Teaching’, which is the entitlement for all children at our school, we also offer a range of ‘additional and different’ arrangements to support those with identified SEND needs.
All the pupils at Woodston Primary School receive provision that is specific to their individual needs at the present time. This may all be provided by the Class Teacher or with assistance from a Teaching Assistant or an Inclusion Team staff member. On occasions support may also involve:
- Advice and support from one of the School’s Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (SENCOs) and other members of staff within the school.
- An independent Educational Psychologist.
- Local Authority Central Services staff such as the Specialist Teachers for Autism, ADHD or the Sensory Service team.
- Outside agencies such as the NHS Speech and Language Therapy Service visiting to work 1:1 or with small groups of children.
- Referrals to different agencies through an Early Help Assessment (EHA).
