Parents/carers have the legal right to withdraw their child, wholly or partly, from Religious Education (RE). Requests should be made in writing to the Headteacher. We encourage parents/carers to discuss any concerns with the school before making a decision, as RE plays an important role in promoting understanding, respect and appreciation of different faiths, beliefs and cultures. Appropriate supervision will be provided for pupils who are withdrawn from RE lessons.
